In recent years, the lenses of Tshidisanang service scope, now deliberately zooms into Family Care. A sector feature, deliberately chosen to ground NGO experience, wisdom, tenacity, expertise, and resources to remain single-minded and focused.
After 19 years, the NGO, Tshidisanang, celebrates the ideals and philosophies of “Family Care”, we follow a social therapy process, program, and pursuit that acknowledges family integrated care (FIC); family delivered care (FDC); patient and family centred care (PFCC); and child and family centred care (CFCC). Note, care is planned around the whole family, not just the individual child or person. Family-centred care recognizes the central role the family plays, and the experience the family as a unit brings in the delivery of care. All the family members are recognized as care recipients, include family members as co-decision makers in family care. These ideals and philosophies are made possible by the four core concepts of (i) respect and dignity; (ii) information sharing; (iii) family participation in care; (iv) and collaboration.
Charitable efforts not only uplift individuals and communities but also foster a sense of unity, empathy, and social responsibility. Whether through small acts or large-scale initiatives, charity plays a crucial role in building a more just and compassionate world.
In 2025, we expect to celebrate our great strides in our strong determination to deliver service to families and individuals (the breadwinner, the dependent, the unemployed, the youth, children, and the elderly). Tshidisang knows far too deeply that these people have their unique challenges; hence, we provide customized service to them.
